Gift Economy
Due to the chaos caused by COVID-19, it is expected that the transition from the traditional economic supremacy to a society of mutual support based on self-sufficiency and lifestyles will accelerate.
The "gift economy" focuses on what we have rather than what we lack, and is a way of thinking about sharing with others; it is a community that helps each other by sharing what we have "overflowing with."
In order to implement this concept in the region as a sustainable platform, we will build a community currency infrastructure based on the blockchain system.
My Calendar
Modern people act based on the clocks and schedules of society and organizations, and rarely act according to the clock of destiny determined by the time/calendar of the universe or their own date of birth. As a result, they encounter and are troubled by avoidable difficulties, which lead them to stray from their true selves. We will support such busy modern people in discovering the possibility of good fortune in line with their destiny through calendar and schedule management, especially from the perspective of numerology.
Social Entrepreneurship Development
In particular, startups and entrepreneurial training, which have been booming in urban areas, are finding it difficult to contribute to the revitalization of rural areas. Utilizing the know-how we have cultivated in entrepreneur training and consulting for creating new businesses for existing small and medium-sized enterprises, we will support social entrepreneur training and social contribution projects that are specialized for regional revitalization.
History
Established in 2009 (Heisei 21).
The "sai" in our company name, Silabo, stands for vegetable, talent, and festival, and our business focus has changed with the times.
The Age of Vegetables 2009~ Research on Hydroponic Cultivation
Founded with the goal of researching and developing agricultural technology for self-sufficient communities, we have taken on the aggressive challenge of improving the efficiency of hydroponic cultivation of leafy vegetables and cultivating root vegetables in a closed environment. During our research, we faced the question of whether soil is essential for growing truly healthy crops, and we also began cultivating crops using soil with a special coating that enhances water and fertilizer retention.
The Age of Talent 2015 - Nurturing Future Entrepreneurs
In order to launch a specific regional revitalization project, we pivoted our business to target human resources with the idea of "creating the soil", and using our experience in startups and new business launches, we launched and operate a co-working space and share house in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, where university students and young people gather, as a place to foster the mindset that will be the basis for entrepreneurial training. We named it "Tanoshi-so" after "Tokiwa-so", a former school that produced many talented manga artists, and operated the facility as a hangout for students and young people, entrusting it to the free thinking and motivation of young people.
The Age of Festivals 2018: Rediscovering and Reconstructing Culture
Strengthening regional power through
As we move from a traditional society focused on industrial growth to a life-sustaining society that is strongly conscious of coexistence with the global environment, we have begun our X-Tech project, which aims to create a new community/society with the keyword "festival" in order to rediscover and reconstruct local culture and strengthen the underlying strength of the region by always feeling and maintaining the bountiful harvest in our daily lives. Since 2021, as a permaculture designer, we have established a mandala field in Shirataka Town, Yamagata Prefecture, and are promoting the implementation of natural farming vegetable cultivation and soil cultivation as a circular system.
